“Vert le fluvial” conference, Lyon 2021: focus on new carbon-free energy vectors in Europe

Are you committed to the energy transition of the inland waterway sector (IWT) ? Do you want to get involved or do you think you can provide solutions?

Let’s meet on December 13th, 2021 at the « Vert le Fluvial » conference at the Musée des Confluences in Lyon!

The purpose is to draw up an initial assessment of the mobilization of the sector more than 2 years after the official launch of the “Vert le fluvial” initiative and share French and European positive experiences over the new carbon-free energy vectors (Biogas, electricity, hydrogen..)

Carbon neutrality perspective 2050

The carbon neutrality targeted in 2050 by the European Green Deal requires the fast implementation of even stronger and coordinated actions to sustain the challenges of greening the river fleet in terms of technology, energy, construction, financing, regulations and services.

A day of debates and exchanges

With the participation of national and European personalities and experts, the discussions will help to better understand the challenges and ambitions of the Green Deal for Europe and take stock of the scheduling of a roadmap at European level for the inland waterway sector.

The professional stakeholders and infrastructure managers (for inland waterways and ports) most committed  to the energy transition will present their pilot and inspiring initiatives.

The strengths and technical specificities of green hydrogen as a solution to accelerate the transition will be assessed in details.
