Pleasure boats over 5m or equipped with an engine of 9.9hp or more are subject to the toll.

Are you new to private yachting and would like to know if your boat is subject to the toll?

The conditions of application of the pleasure toll are defined by the transport code (article L. 4412-1s): “carriers of goods or passengers and owners of pleasure boats longer than 5 meters or equipped with an engine with a power equal to or greater than 9.9 horsepower (i.e. 7.29 KW) are subject, under conditions set by decree in Council of State, to tolls collected for the benefit of Voies navigables de France (VNF) when they navigate on the public domain entrusted to it, with the exception of the international parts of the Rhine and the Moselle. The amount of these tolls is set by the establishment.”

To find out more, refer to the General Terms and Conditions of Payment for the Pleasure Toll, which can be consulted on the application.
